1. Understand what mystery shopping is
Mystery shopping involves following a defined customer scenario and documenting observations afterwards. It is not a guarantee of regular work or predictable income.
2. Build a realistic profile
Honest information is more useful than an artificially broad profile. Region, realistic working radius, experience and genuinely relevant voluntary information can improve later matching.
3. Assess each offer and agency separately
Before an assignment, the task, timing, fee, expenses, evidence and responsible agency should be clear. A profile or match does not replace this assessment.
4. Start with manageable opportunities
Beginners do not need to accept every theoretically possible assignment. It is more sensible to start with projects whose travel, timing and requirements fit everyday life and whose briefing is fully understood.
